I’ve been talking a lot about moving up to the next level because we are in a season of elevation to the next thing for many people, a time where there is a marked stepping up to higher things and for those who have arrived in that space, congratulations! There are still some though who are still experiencing those testing times, those challenges that hit you when you were about to see your breakthrough and what you do at that moment is a decider of whether you walk through and move to the next level, or you experience a panic attack, get defeated and have to REPEAT the lesson again!

I know it is easier said than done to say be bold and confident in the face of adversity however in the last couple of weeks I have come across several individuals who are facing the tests of their lives! Life is certainly not for the faint hearted and when the big bombshell comes to threaten your marriage, your business, your ministry, your very own dreams, it is a pivotal moment of the report you choose to believe. I got so encouraged this week when I received a message from a lady I had encouraged a few months ago when she was looking to take out a mortgage and faced with a series of challenges as she wrote” Hi Tendayi thank you so so much for the words of encouragement, I was scared and nervous but you helped calm me an told me to fast and pray because my situation/ default if I may say was a big problem but not with God it isn’t, got the mortgage offer 2 weeks ago phew now just waiting to move in. Thank u for taking your time just to respond.”
This was a borderline mortgage application case(not my client) and the she was entering her next level, being a homeowner and was met with a decline from one lender that could have very easily let her sit back down and forget about the whole thing. By helping her get to the root of the issue and dealing with it appropriately by being honest to her advisor who she had already started working with, praying and fasting for favour, this lady is moving into her new home next week!

You can hardly ever expect to waltz into anything great without experiencing tests and trials. If the children of Israel had to fight the Hittites, Amalekites, Jebusites before entering into their promised land of Canaan, you need to know that you too will have to face that in your life. If the process of having a baby which brings so much joy to your world is met with the challenge of excruciating pain and the need to push beforehand, you had better soon realise that this is a process that applies to anything new and great that comes to your life. You hear of stories of people almost breaking up the night before their wedding day, falling ill or getting terrible news just before a major exam, experiencing a big fallout with strategic partners just before signing that big business deal! How you handle this time is crucial to whether you make it to the other side. The key is to fear not, maintain that boldness and courage that says God is able to do what he said he would do in my life, I will not be moved by what I see and is going on around me, but I will keep my eye fixed on the prize.

So I want to encourage someone this morning who feels like all hell has broken loose on them and just when they could see the light, a series of obstacles and challenges have arisen! Keep calm and maintain your position of faith! You are going through the final test to you achieving that new level, the baby’s head is crowning and you need to muster up as much energy as you can and stay focused on the task at hand, getting that baby out to the place where the whole world will be able to see it! Keep your eye on the prize and look up to the almighty God who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you could ever ask or imagine, according to the power that works within you!
